A Private Chef for Your Changing Hormones
We respond within 24 hours to discuss your goals and curate your bespoke culinary plan.
You've read about the protein, the fiber, the Mediterranean plate. But rebuilding how you eat, week after week?
Perimenopause and menopause change what your body needs from food, and the guidance arrives loud and contradictory from every direction. Shopping, sourcing, reading every label, second-guessing the healthy brands that let you down before, it adds up fast, on top of everything already on your plate.
Why Mediterranean, for this season?
The Mediterranean way of eating is one of the most studied in the world, and it's the pattern menopause specialists point to most often for these years. The European Menopause and Andropause Society recommends a Mediterranean-style diet for women through perimenopause and beyond, for long-term heart and bone health. And the largest randomized trial of the pattern, PREDIMED, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, followed roughly 7,400 adults and found fewer major cardiovascular events among those eating the Mediterranean way than among those on a lower-fat comparison diet.
It's not a diet trend. It's a way of eating backed by decades of research, built around extra-virgin olive oil, wild-caught fish, legumes, leafy greens, and whole grains.
The framework is well established. The execution, week after week, is where most women get stuck. That's where we come in.
This is the most personal thing we do.
Every plan we build is built around one person, you.

What our clients say
While it costs a bit more than typical meal prep services, it's truly in a different league, more like having a personal chef than mass production.
I am working through an obnoxious host of food restrictions, and that plus our normal preferences, had me worried. But it gave Chef Brooke no trouble at all.
Brooke is my favorite chef ever! Her food is so nourishing and delicious. I'm always grateful to get their deliveries.
Where Salt and Soil began
After being diagnosed with cancer, co-founder Gio discovered how profoundly food choices affect health, energy, and resilience. That experience, and Brooke's lifelong passion for turning whole ingredients into meals people genuinely crave, became Salt and Soil.
"Food is Medicine" isn't marketing for us. It's personal. Every plan we build carries that same conviction.
